Educational Seminars
Educational seminars have three design courses such as "Designer Course", "Design Management Course" and "Art Director Course", which are held periodically. These are intensive seminars over a few days for young designers. The courses, instructed by leading designers, consist of both lectures and workshops.
Besides these courses, seminars take place in each region, instructed by JPDA members, corporate engineers and other designers which are tailored to the specific needs of their members.
Workshop
Along with the Council of the Design Association of Japan (D-8), JPDA is collaborating on some projects under the guidance of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. These include the protection of copyright design, research into strategic application of design and planning for the establishment of a design museum. At the same time, various individual studies are being carried out in each region.
